Rifle has a long 29″/750mm ribbed barrel with blade fore-sight and 3-leaf & ladder rear sight, marked to “Robert Hughes & Sons Birmingham.” Border scroll engraving to action marked “Hughes”. Steel buttplate. Horn fore-end tip, wrap-around chequering to both fore-end and pistol grip stock. Chequering is worn flat, some fading to finish on rifle. Fair to good original condition.
