100-D05-166 .44rus Smith & Wesson New Mod No.3 6,5″ Revolver – Pre-1898

Manufactured 1878 to 1908. Low 3-digit serial number and the fact that all frames were manufactured before making the gun indicates pre-1898 manufacture. Hard black rubber chequered grips, very little finish remaining, silver grey colour overall, slight chip to bottom of grip. Mainspring feels weak and could be faulty. Side of cylinder has been resting on a damp surface and displays some light pitting over one of the chambers. Rest good condition. (Start Bid : R3500 Hi Estimate: R6500)
