085A-F05-037-8x60JR Steyr Gueddes “Boer War” Rifle Pre-1898
Boer war issue. The 32″(813mm) barrel with a plain blade front sight and a ladder rear sight, bore is good. Left side of action stamped with ‘M1885 Steyr 1886″ in a ring around ‘CE. W.G’. The Portuguese army ordered the rifle, never took delivery and the bulk of them ended up in the hands of the Boer forces. Good overall.
