Mike Neumann was a Springbok muzzle-loading shooter and a very accomplished machinist, particularly when it came to making moulds and long-range target sights. This is a rifle he built for himself to use and the lock-plate is marked “M.Nemann Johannesburg 1983”. Rifles such as the Pedersoli Gibbs target rifles were not available in those days and shooters had to build their own rifles or rebarrel old target rifles. Barrel length of 31.5″ (800mm). Tunnel foresight with spirit level, custom made target peep sight marked to 275m. Wrap-around chequering to fore-end, two panel chequering to wrist, steel buttplate, ebony grip and tip caps. Good condition including bore.
