F05-566 8x60R Guedes Steyr 1886 “Boer” Service Rifle

Boer war issue. The 32″ (813mm) barrel with a plain blade front sight and a ladder rear sight, bore is good. Left side of action stamped with ‘M1885 Steyr 1886″ in a ring around ‘CE. W.G’. The Portuguese army ordered the rifle, never took delivery and the bulk of them ended up in the hands of the Boer forces. Rifle has the name “G.J. Scholtz” and is in good original condition. Good bore.
