C-179 FN/FAL Type B Bayonet – Scabbard With Leather Frog

Type B Introduction: Introduced around 1957–1958, the Type B replaced the earlier Type A bayonet. The Type A had a long, slender blade and unique mounting collar, but some users found it too fragile or complex. Design Influence: The Type B simplified manufacturing, using a shorter spear-point blade (about 6.5–7 inches) and a more robust mounting system. It was influenced by contemporary NATO bayonets, especially those for the U.S. M14 and British L1A1. Both the bayonet and frog is stamped SAP which is quite scarce.
