This was Webley’s first double action revolver and launched in1867. Solid frame. gate loaded. 2.5″ barrel. reasonable bore. 6 shot plain cylinder. Webley’s first contract was to supply this revolver to the RIC. Royal Irish Constabulary. Trigger return spring is defunct but with a bit of assistance works in both single and double action modes. One piece chequered wooden grip. Swing-out ejector rod. Left side of frame is marked with “W&S” flying bullet trademark & Webley’s pair of handcuffed hands over “M.P.” Metropolitan Police trademark. Topstrap marked to “J. Patstone 25 High St. Southampton”. Fairly good original condition.
