Right side of receiver marked “Crown V.R Enfield 1879 I.C.1” identifying it as an “Interchangable Carbine MK1”. Deleted “C.T.H” markings to butt indicating issue to the Cape Town Highlanders regiment. Carbine is missing the clearing rod but is in good original condition.
