Rifle is built on Oberndorf action and barrel has typical Oberndorf proof marks but it is questionable whether this is an Oberndorf Mauser built rifle owing to the barrel profile and numbering to the barrel. “B U G” proofs to barrel. Typical Mauser tangent type rear and ramp foresight to 29″ (736,6mm) barrel. Rifle has a 3/4 length fore-end with schnable tip, swivel loop and “Afrika” side panels. Chequered pistol-grip, shadow line cheekpiece and horn buttplate to professionally refinished stock. Receiver has been drilled and tapped and bolt bent for scope mounting purposes, double-trigger configuration with hinged floorplate. A desirable traditional German built rifle. Good bore, good overall condition.
