Octagonal barrel of 33″ (863,20mm) with both over and under-ribs, six leaf rear sights and marked “Westley Richards & Co. London” and also “Metford Rifling”. Horn fore-end tip, wrap-around chequering to fore-end and pistol grip type wrist plus steel buttplate. Extensive chequering to sides of action which is marked. One of the rear sight leafs is missing, the adjustable foresight blade is missing, there is a bump to stock on the hand, chequering has been professionally refinished. Clearing rod absent. Some fading to finish, fairly good overall condition. (Start Bid : R6500 Hi Estimate: R9500)
