Original Mannlicher-Schoenauer model 1905 full-stock carbine in 9x56mm Mannlicher-Schoenauer caliber with rotary magazine, flat bolt handle and double-set triggers. Rifle has a 20″ (508mm) barrel with ramp front sight and express rear sight with 100m standing and 300m folding leaf. According to the barrel stamps the rifle was made in 1912. The action is marked “Oesterr. Waffenfabr.-Ges.Steyr” on the left hand side and “Patent Mannlicher Schoenauer M1905” on the receiver ring. Rifle has not been drilled or altered in any way. Fully functional and complete, original finish on metal and wood, matching numbers throughout including the stock and rotary magazine. Condition excellent overall, bore is excellent, blueing 95% plus. Original steel buttplate with trap for cleaning kit and spare rounds, original sling swivels to stock. Mannlicher Schoenauer carbines in this caliber can be hard to find. A classic lightweight hunting rifle for the connoisseur. (Start Bid : R15000 Hi Estimate: R19500)
