100-F01-172 5.56mm Enfield SA80 Semi-Auto Bullpup Service Rifle

Complete with issue Trilux optical sight. Very scarce first model variant. All of those in British service have been upgraded to current L85A3 status. First adopted in 1987, there were a number of teething problems encountered with it and the SLR L1A1 was regarded as a more functional rifle. Barrel length of 20,4″ (518,16mm). The rifle reputedly came out of Mozambique where it was in the hands of British SAS troops guarding the Cabora Bassa dam/generating plant from attacks by Renamo rebels. Good bore, good original condition. (Start Bid : R75000 Hi Estimate: R95000)
