A boxlock, ejector with 26,25″ (665mm) barrels marked to “Charles Lancaster 11 Paton St. Haymarket London”, carrying a ramp foresight and two leaf rear sight on mounting rib. Lancaster operated from the Paton St. address from 1904 to 1925. Rifle is built on a Webley action with Greener crossbolt, sideclips, double lugs and disc-set strikers. Barrel flats are marked “Grade C & Nitro Proofed”. Colour case hardened action. Well figured stock with lever release fore-end, wrap-around chequering to fore-end, fine chequering to semi-pistol grip wrist and shadow line cheekpiece to butt with a L.O.P of 14,75″. Rifle is in very good original condition with very good bores.
