094-288-.30-06 Bren Gun MK2 Light Machine Gun – Cased

In wooden military transit case with cleaning rod and spare magazine. Case is marked “Fusil Mitragliatore Bren MKII Cal. 7.62 Corpo Delle Guardie P.S.” Gun is marked “BMB Bren Mk 11 Cal.7.62” indicating manufacture by Breda and has been converted to semi-auto only fire. This was manufactured post WW2, when the Italians had adopted the .30-06 at their standard service round. However, by the time these were produced and taken into service the Italian Army had adopted the 7.62x51mm Nato round, so they went into Police Carabineiri service who were engaged in the anti-mafia role. It has seen very little, if any service and is in excellent condition with matching numbers and an excellent bore. Complete with bipod and flash hider. Excellent condition.
