Barrel of 26,75″ (679,45mm) with 2-leaf rear sight, barrel swivel and hooded foresight with flip-up night sight facility. A flip-up adjustable peep sight is also fitted to the tang. Barrel which is marked “Charles Lancaster London” & “Non-fouling Smooth Bore Rifling”. Slim and graceful stock has wrap-around chequering to fore-end and two panel chequering to semi-pistol grip and chequered butt. Overall length of 48″ (1219,2mm), weight of 8lbs (3,62kg). The .280 Ross is a high velocity, flat trajectory round with high killing power introduced in 1906, firing a 150gr. bullet at 2800 fps giving a muzzle energy of 2610 ft/lbs. Very good bore and original condition.
