In brass cornered oak and leather case with the incorrect Cashmore trade label to the lid. Case is in good condition but for for one of the straps which needs replacement. Barrel length of 26″ (660,4mm) with three leaf rear sights, flip-up night foresight and barrels marked “Joseph Lang & Son 7 Bury St. St. James’s London” .450/400 Nitro Express. 60 Grains Cordite 400gr. Bullet 31/4 Case”. Extensive scroll engraving to doll’s head fastening receiver with the name “Joseph Lang” engraved to the center of sides. Serial no. 16353. A particularly well-figured stock with teardrops, pistol grip and fine wrap-around chequering to both grip and fore-end. Lever type fore-end fastening feature. Solid red rubber recoil pad. L.O.P.is 14,75″. Bores are good to good plus, action is tight with no play. The exterior of the barrels display some carrying wear to the muzzle area and a light patch of “case chafing” just ahead of the left-hand chamber area. Rifle is in good to good plus original condition but for the carry wear to the muzzle area. This can easily be touched up. Weight of gun is 10,5lbs (4,76kg).
