By “Field Rifle Co. Birmingham”. Cape Govt. & Kingwilliams Town Armoury “K.T”. marking to top of receiver, this rifle no doubt saw service in the Eastern Cape Frontier wars. Barrel and butt marked to “Field Rifle Co.Birmingham”. Good original condition with a small pit mark to right-hand side of receiver and missing clearing rod. Good bore.
