089-F04-625 7x57mm Mauser-Werke Oberndorf “Afrika” Model Rifle

Manufactured 1938. Ribbed octagon to round 28″ (711,2mm) with tangent type rear sight and integral ramp foresight. Barrel and solid sidewall receiver are marked “Mauserwerke A.G. Oberndorf A.N.” Triggerguard release magazine floorpate. Single square action which has been drilled and tapped for Lynx mounts. The suspicion is that this was a double square action and the rear base was rounded of to accept the Lynx rear mount. Schnabel tip to fore-end which features wrap-around chequering to it and two panel chequering to wrist. Cheekpiece and solid black chequered Mauser recoil plate. Well figured stock. Good bore, good overall condition but for scope mounting changes to receiver.
