089-D02-372 7.65mm (.32Aacp) Webley Model 1908 Pistol
The model 1908 pistol was adopted by the London Metropolitan Police in 1911. Their pistols differed from the standard version by having a conventional rear sight in addition to the usual grooved slide top. They also had a slide stop, although this was merely a change to the magazine which worked in all the 1908 pistols. This specimen, made in 1935, is of the M.P pattern and is in very good condition but for the rigt-hand side stock plate. The right-hand side plate was broken at some time (a common problem with these pistols), but was very well repaired.
