Tranter’s Patent doube-action fove shot 54 bore revolver with topstrap marked to “John Hayton Graham’s Town”. Extensive engraving to frame, loading lever and part of barrel. Chequered wooden one piece grips, octagonal barrel. Revolver still retains a good % original high gloss blued finish. Good original overall. John Hayton was one of the Frontier’s largest dealers and was widely regarded as the originator of the “Cape” gun. He traded from 1850 to 1873. Records show that he sold in excess of 20 000 firearms.
