Barrel length of 22″(558.8mm), foresight blade & rearsight removed. Chequered fore-end & pistol-grip to monte-carlo styled stock. Detachable box magazine. Tang safety & cocking indicator to back of action. Serial number l0017XX. This one of the last of the Savage 99 range of rifles and has a detachable box magazine rather than the Mannlicher type rotary magazine found on all earlier Savage 99 rifles. This was done as a cost saving move. Good original condition but for the missing rearsight and foresight blade. These can readily be replaced. Very good bore.
