078-F196-.505 Gibbs Sporting Rifle
Serial no.B6687 dates the rifle ca. 1925. Mauser magnum action no. 92527. Formerly owned by Brig. Jan Blaauw. According to Mark Crudgington, a total of 35 Gibbs .505 rifles were built prior to WW II, a total of 15 rifles from 1945 to 1968 and 16 rifles from 1968 to the present day. Very high % [approx 90%] original bluing to rifle, stock has been professionally refurbished at some stage. Good bore, good overall condition.
