104-C-168 US M7 Bayonet Vietnam Issue x 2 (One without Scabbard)
In 1963, as the U.S. Government became more interested in the AR–15, Colt redesigned their bayonet to better conform to current government specifications. They designated it the “New Model M7”. The hole for the guard securing bar is square (not round) and the blade runout is curved. As this image reveals, Colt’s grips are universal (left same as right) secured with screws and loose hex bolts that fit into hexagons molded into the grips.
