101-D05-257 .450 Webley No.5 or “New Model Army Express” 5,5″ Revolver
Double-action solid frame revolver with 5,5″ (139,70mm) ovate shaped barrel and Colt single action type ejector rod. Chequered wooden grips with lanyard ring to butt. “V&R Blakemore London” to topstrap. A number of these revolvers were bought by the ZAR Government after 1879 for both the artillery and police. Revolver has lost a certain amount of finish but is still in good original condition.
