100-D05-163 .476 Webley No.4 Pryse 6″ Revolver
Revolver is marked “Webley’s No.4 .476 C.F.” Chequered wooden grips with lanyard ring to butt. Later period satin nickel finish to revolver. Younger (a Birmingham Gunsmith of the time) seems to have been the first in the UK to adopt it. In fact the idea originated in Belgium. The Transvaal Goverment (ZAR) purchased 400 No.4 revolvers in 1896, by which time the model was basically obsolete. This specimen is in a good condition. (Start Bid : R4500 Hi Estimate: R7500)
