100-D02-119 7.65mm Portuguese Army M2 Luger Service Pistol – Holster

Original military Portuguese Army Luger pistol in 7.65mm Luger caliber manufactured by DWM between 1908 and 1910 with 4,75″ (120,65mm) barrel. Also known as the M2 model due to the stylized Royal Portuguese crest of King Manuel the 2nd engraved on the chamber. Since Manuel the 2nd was only on the throne from 1908 to 1910, this is also the era of manufacture of this pistol. Marked “DWM” on toggle. Matching numbers throughout on all parts of the pistol even down to the wooden grips and the grip safety. Only the magazine with correct wooden base pad has a non-matching number. Pistol is 100% original and in very good condition with 80% original blueing remaining and chequered wooden grips perfect. Correct Portuguese military proof marks on pistol. Complete with original leather holster. Correct cleaning rod and loading tool in holster. This model is quite rare as only 5000 were manufactured. (Start Bid : R20000 Hi Estimate: R24500)
