100-B01-026 .44cal Colt 2nd Model Dragoon 7,5″ Revolver

Manufactured 1850. Revolver has smooth walnut grips, brass grip frame, square backed trigger guard and a part round, part octagonal 7,5″ (190,50mm) barrel. Matching numbers throughout – number 909X. Scroll engraving to cylinder. Action is very good with a tight lock-up. Good bore. Barrel marked “Address Saml. Colt New York City”. No original finish remaining to revolver and some light pit marks to scattered parts of frame and barrel. Total production of the 2nd model was approximately 2 700 revolvers in 1850 and 1851. Good working order, fairly good externally. (Start Bid : R75000 Hi Estimate: R90000)
