099-C-367 1895 Socket Bayonet

Socket bayonet for use on the .303 caliber M1895 Martini-Enfield rifle. The Patt 1895 bayonets were altered Patt 1876 bayonets, originally made for the caliber .577–450 Martini-Henry rifle. The socket length is 3″ (76 mm). Blade 21.5″ (545mm). Scabbard repaired with copper wire.
