096-F05-293-7x57mm “Boer” Mauser Carbine By Ludwig Loewe & Co.1896

This Boer carbine is unusual in respect of the serial number. Long rifles from Loewe had an “A” prefix to the serial numbers but not the carbines and the bolt handle is straight rather than bent as with most of the carbines. Matching serial numbers Rifle is correct in all other aspects and does not appear to have been “fiddled” with. Fairly good overall condition, rifle has been reblued at some stage of it’s life. Fair bore.
