089-F03-613 12ga Southgate S/S Boxlock Shotgun

Double trigger, ejector gun with 30″ (762mm) nitro-proofed barrels, choked 3/4 and 1/4. L.O.P is 14,75″. Chequered straight wrist and fore-end to well-figured stock. Barrels, trigger guard and top lever have been reblued. Gun is in a good refinished condition, with a few light pit marks ahead of the chambers. Thomas was one of the top London gunmakers who was in business 1896 to 1905 at 6 Burton Crescent. Southgate was renowned for his ejector system which was used by many of the established gunmakers. A shotgun produced by Southgate himself is rather scarce.
