Manufactured 1930/31. Rifle has features of both the “A” & “B” type rifles. Barrel length of 24″ with “A” type five leaf express rear sight, knurled receiver and lever release magazine floorplate. Stock has the traditional “B” type profile but features wrap-around chequering to the fore-end and twopanel chequering to the pistol grip which was not found on the standard “B” types. Cheekpiece and horn buttplate. Rifle could well have been a custom order from Mauser who were more accommodating of meeting individual customer requirements than present day manufacturer’s. Rifle displays some carrying wear to finish on action and expected dings & scratches that one would find on an untouched rifle of this vintage. Fair bore.
